I have been drawing and 'making stuff' since I can remember! 
I was born into a 'weird', artsy family, and didn't know how lucky
I was until I went off to college. My father is a very accomplished, 
and well known artist, and since I could hold a crayon, he made all of
his wonderful art supplies available to me and my siblings. One of my
absolute, favorite memories is of my siblings and I going with him to
his studio, at night, when he had to work on an illustration job. 
There was a certain smell of the paints and other art materials, a feeling
that this was someplace I wanted to be. It's no wonder then that
3 out of his 4 children went on to pursue artistic careers. My mom
and other sister are the 'sane' ones in the family, who keep us
from drifting to far out!! 

Now, I have my own weird and wacky children, all moving into creative
lives of their own. As hard as it is to have them leave home, one by one, 
it gives me more time to draw and paint!! 

I have also always dearly loved animals, and spent many hours (before children) 
volunteering at the Humane society. It is no surprise that my love of art has
ventured into painting animals, and especially , pets!!
