How long does it take to self publish a book?
Wow, have I ever learned…. Three years ago, I started the illustrations for a children’s book, written by a local author and friend. I am a professional artist, but this is my first children’s book. First I will say that working on the illustrations has been the most fun I have ever had as an artist- but – then comes the formatting…and the printing…and the marketing…!
As of right now, we are in the printing stage, and it has taken many months longer than I had forcasted. We are almost there, in the home stretch, running for home- I can see it….
I’ll be sharing some of my journey here, mostly out of my own frustrations- but- hopefully to share with others what I have learned, and still will be learning as this journey continues. Hope you’ll come along with me!
